Supporting Guide Dogs

Lake Haven Centre supports Guide Dogs NSW/ACT fundraiser

Central Coast locals can help contribute to the $50,000 it takes to breed, raise and train one life changing Guide Dog by supporting fundraising activity at Lake Haven Centre.

More than $6,000 worth of prizes are on offer through a special raffle to support Guide Dogs NSW/ACT, with prizes generously donated by Lake Haven Centre. Prizes include an 8 day P&O South Pacific Cruise, a 65 inch Samsung TV and a PS5 Play Station.

Locals can purchase raffle tickets and other merchandise at a stall located outside Coles, Lake Haven Centre between Monday 20 and Saturday 25 February – proudly manned by Guide Dogs Central Coast Support Group. Some labradorable friends will also be on hand at the stall throughout the week, with visits by local Guide Dogs with their Handlers, and dogs in training.

Raffle tickets can also be purchased online up until 1 March.

“While best known for our beautiful dogs, Guide Dogs NSW/ACT delivers a wide range of services to people with low vision or blindness of all ages – so they can fulfil their individual goals and potential while being safe, confident and independent in their communities,” said Gary Bristow, Head of Fundraising, Guide Dogs NSW/ACT.

“Thank you to Lake Haven Centre for the generous donation of raffle prizes, and to the central Coast community who are always such big supporters of our vital work,” Gary Bristow added.

“Guide Dogs is one of Lake Haven Centre’s favourite charities because of the important services the organisation provides in the community. We are proud to support the fundraising raffle and encourage all Central Coast locals and shoppers to purchase a ticket that will help provide freedom and independence to someone with low vision or blindness,” said Jo Brody, Centre Manager –  Lake Haven Centre.
